Sharon Sue Corbin, 69, of Edinburgh, passed away February 5, 2022 at her home. She was born May 10, 1952 in Shelbyville, Indiana to the late Donald Robertson and Eva Burkhead. Sharon married Richard Corbin on July 24, 1967 in Tennessee, and he survives. Sharon was a retail manager for over 15 years, working for the Dollar General and the Family Dollar. She is a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed puzzles, Elvis, Mel McDaniel and old country music. She loved her grandchildren and she spoiled them whenever she was able. Her dog Riley was her faithful friend for over 10 years. Sharon also loved roses. In past years, her husband Richard bought flowers for her every year, which she planted along the side of their home. These are now cherished memories. Sharon fought a courageous battle with cancer for over seven years. Her family and friends have been amazed by her strength. She was always there for her family, even when she did not feel well. She is survived by her husband Richard; daughters Georgia Pearson of Whiteland, Melissa (Greg) Schmidt of Murfreesboro, TN, and Holly (Ryan) Reel of Hope; grandchildren: Jayron, Courtney, Dylan, Matthew, Bobbi, Steven, Skyler, Aiden, Ryder, along with five additional grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Caffee, granddaughter Ashley Wright, and daughter-in-law Tammy Pearson. Pastor Stacey Tucker will officiate a service at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 12, at the Who So Ever Will Community Church, 623 Eisenhower Drive, Edinburgh. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 at the church prior to the service. Funeral arrangements have been handled by Community Funeral Care, Edinburgh.
