WE WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE OUR HOMETOWN TEAM
Paul Burton, Funeral DirectorI was born and raised in Edinburgh. I'm so grateful that, in time, the Lord saw fit to allow me to accomplish my goal of becoming a funeral director. I served my internship and worked for my mentor and friend Bill Singleton on Madison Avenue in Indianapolis, where together we operated Singleton Community Mortuary and Memorial Center for over a decade. We were privileged to serve nearly 200 families every year and I learned so much from Bill. I later was the General Manager of Wilson St. Pierre (one of the largest funeral providers in the state), managing 10 funeral directors and collectively serving nearly 900 families every year. Since then I have assisted other funeral homes through transitions and have served as a state appointed conservator of a funeral home in process of regaining licensure.
I left the mortuary in 2015 and moved back to Edinburgh to work as a full-time pastor. The ministry is my first calling, but as it turns out, funeral service is also a ministry. I have no ego in my decision to open Community Funeral Care. I simply want to serve the people I care about and the community I've known all my life. I hope to provide superior funeral services at a fraction of the cost that people are presently paying in our community. We also hope to provide services not presently offered--things that will make the funeral of a loved one special and even more meaningful. Please reach out to me if I can answer your questions or help in any way. |
Cindi Gadberry, Funeral Service AssistantI was born and raised in Edinburgh, and I am the mother to two fantastic children, 26 and 16. I have attended The Who So Ever Will church since they opened the doors in 1982. My relationship with God is the most important thing to me. I have always enjoyed helping others, but when I started helping in the funeral business, I think I truly found my calling. I have experienced the loss of someone near and dear to me, so I know how overwhelming it can feel and how there seems to be a million decisions to make in just a very short time. My job is to help you through the process. I will do everything I can to help you remember small details and make things go smoothly. Planning a funeral will be something that you will never forget and I hope to help it be a memory that you can look back on as one where you feel like we did your loved one proud.
