jason l. whetstine

Jason L. Whetstine, 51, of Franklin, passed away on August 10, 2023.  He was the first of five siblings born on June 2, 1972, in Franklin, Indiana to parents Nicolas Eugene Whetstine and Jennifer Ann Whetstine (Wilborn). He was a graduate of Edinburgh Community High School. Jason fathered two children, his namesake, Jason L. Whetstine, Jr. (Veronica Hancock Lawson) and Jennifer Opal Ann Whetstine (Angela Thompson Fannin) who will miss him immensely. He enjoyed scavenging for morels and arrowheads, fishing, hunting and spending time with loved ones.
 
Survivors include his father, children, granddaughter, Gaia Whetstine, siblings, Heath Whetstine (Pamela), Matthew Whetstine (Tonie), Nicole Fox (Phillip) and Sophia Morgan (Marty) and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, maternal grandparents, Elmer and Martha Wilborn and paternal grandparents, Charles Whetstine and Helen Richardson.
 
Services will be 12:00, p.m., Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Who So Ever Will Church in Edinburgh, Indiana.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, please forward all donations to the Tara Treatment Center for Men. Your gift could help change a life.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Funeral Care, Edinburgh.
