Robert James Chestovich, 72, of Martinsville, passed away in the comfort of his home on February 4, 2026. He was born on September 15, 1953, in Gary, Indiana, to the late Milan and Thelma (Meeks) Chestovich. Robert lived life with curiosity and heart. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, collecting and restoring antiques, and lingering over a good cup of coffee. Some of his favorite moments were spent on little adventures with his best friend, Kim, always accompanied by his faithful dog, Oreo. Above all, Robert treasured time with his children and grandchildren. He was especially known for showing up with oatmeal cream pies in hand—much to the delight of his grandkids. Robert worked for many years with Amtrak Railroad, retiring as a boilermaker. He took pride in his work and the life he built for his family. He is survived by his son, Michael (Amanda) Chestovich of North Vernon; his daughters, Laura (John) Perkins, of Hope, and Rachel (Paul) Chestovich of Edinburgh; his beloved grandchildren, Noah, Hannah, Bethany, Judah, Lily (Hunter), Isaiah, Hailey, Morgan, Corban, Paul, Kylie, and Izabelle; and his brother, Terry (Diane) Chestovich. Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Morgantown Baptist Church, 109 W. Elm Street, Morgantown. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Funeral Care, Edinburgh.

Bob, it was a pleasure to know you. What a wonderful neighbor you were. I loved watching you take off on your Harley, and you always took the time to throw up your hand and give a wave and a smile.
