noble G. goen

Noble G. Goen, 72, Taylorsville, passed away September 11, 2025.  He was born June 30, 1953, in Greenfield, to the late Marshall and Hilda (Chapple) Goen.  He married Helen Jean Meade-Goen, on June 24, 2006, in Taylorsville, and she survives.  He is also survived by sons, Eric (Courtney) Goen, and Martin Douglas Goen; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and brother Steve (Joyce) Chapple.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Terry Goen; sister, Karen Burchett; and great grandson, Theo DeRossett.  Noble was a long-time member of the Teamster’s United Auto Workers union.  He worked for Sony as a forklift operator for many years before his retirement.  He is loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, especially his wit and humor.  Noble was a beloved member of the Taylorsville United Methodist Church where a service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 15, 2025.  Visitation will be held at the church from 3:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Sunday, September 14, 2025, and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.  Burial will be in Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery, Columbus.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Funeral Care, Edinburgh.
