Janet G. Lind, a.k.a. MacGyver, 92, Pittsboro, passed away December 29, 2025. She was born October 9, 1933, in Columbus, Indiana, to the late Harold and Bernice (White) Gibson. She is survived by her daughter, Cassandra Lind, of Pittsboro. Janet was also preceded in death by her son, Bradford Lewis Lind. She was a devoted wife and mother. Janet was a faithful “horse show mom” who enjoyed the outdoors especially water and snow skiing, boating, fishing, and horseback riding. She was employed for many years as a secretary for Warner Brothers. Private interment in Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh. Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Funeral Care, Edinburgh.

Angela “Angie” L. Mead, 76, was born March16, 1949, in Franklin, Indiana, to the late George and Stella (Bishop) Brooks. She married Billy Ray Mead Sr., and he preceded her in death. Angie loved going to yard sales, interior decorating, and spending time with her dogs and with her family. She also enjoyed spending time with her companion of 20 years, Roger Allen. Angie was a unique person who will be so dearly missed by everyone who knew her. She is survived by son, Billy Ray Mead, Jr.; granddaughter, Angela (Temper) Mead; great grandchildren, Nova Lynn, Gunner, Talon Ray, Bryson; sister, Carolyn (who Angie loved talking with on the telephone every evening); and brother Donald. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Angel Mead. A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Randy Denton at 2:30 p.m., Friday, December 19, 2025, at Who So Ever Will Community Church. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m., until the service at the church. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh. |
