Pamela Sue Streeval, 71, of Edinburgh, passed away September 29, 2023. She was born June 26, 1952, in Columbus, Indiana to the late Osbie Streeval and Mable Roller Briddle. Pam was the kindest person one could ever meet. Her sons were used to hearing from people who their mother had helped. They would say, “. . . if it wasn’t for your mom.” She loved to help others in need—people who were broken, or, lost, or hungry. She touched countless lives. She is survived by her sons, Andrew (Tonya) Streeval, of Nineveh, Glenn Garrett, of Edinburgh, and Nathan Garrett, of Edinburgh; brothers Charles (Barbara) Streeval, of Edinburgh, Timmy (Mickey) Streeval, of Nineveh, Jimmy (Monica) Streeval, of Edinburgh, Kevin (Cindy) Streeval, of Edinburgh; sisters, Deborah (Larry) Sluder, of Tennessee, and Sharon Fultz, of Taylorsville; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and honorary mother to Lawrence Turnbloom, of Edinburgh. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Larry, Donald, and Osbie Streeval; and sisters Phyllis Chandler, Linda Evans, and Nancy Burton. Services will be 12:00, Noon, Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Who So Ever Will Community Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the service at the church. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh. Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Funeral Care, Edinburgh.

Frieda Mae Williams, 78, formerly of Marshall, Illinois, passed away September 9, 2023, in Columbus, Indiana where she has lived the past few years. She was born August 7, 1945, in Terre Haute, to the late Walter Fred and Lucy Martina (Goucher) Nenneman. She graduated from Wiley High School in Terre Haute, and then from Indiana State University in Terre Haute. Her first teaching job was in Kankakee, IL. She married Lance Aaron Williams in December 1968, in Biloxi, Mississippi, and he survives. They moved to Hastings, NE where she taught 5th and 6th grade. She is survived by her daughter Shauncee (Larry) Johnson, of Columbus; son Chancelor (Angela) Williams, of Woodlands, TX; grandchildren, Jordan, Jacob, and Ashleigh Johnson, and Tinley and Gage Williams, and sister, Mary Lavey, of Terre Haute. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Leroy Nenneman. Frieda was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. Her interests included ballroom dancing, spending time outside in nature at her home, tending to her many flower gardens, and anything to spoil her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her. Services will be 6:30 PM, Thursday, September 14, at St. Louis Crossing Church, 6271 E 800 N Columbus, IN 47203. Pastor Tim Dillingham will officiate the service along with Frieda’s grandsons Jordan and Jacob. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until the service at the church. Paul Edward Carman, 61, of Columbus, passed away August 21, 2023. He was born April 30, 1962, in Anderson, Indiana to the late Joe R. and Donna M. (Walker) Carman. He is survived by his son Joseph Owen Carman, of Columbus. He was a truck driver for many years. Paul will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Danielle Renae Mills, 34, of Columbus, passed away, August 16, 2023. She was born May 8, 1989, in Columbus to Marvin and Patricia Russell Mills. She was a graduate of Hauser High School where she was a cheerleader through all four years of high school. She was a member of St. Louis Crossing Methodist Church and was formerly part of Hartsville Church of Christ. Danielle loved spending time with her family. She attended concerts with her dad and enjoyed playing on softball teams with her brother. She was a shopper and she particularly liked ½ off day at Goodwill, shopping there with her mother. The Clifford fish fry, 80’s and 90’s music, her Jeep, being an aunt, and being the center of attention were all things that she enjoyed with the many friends and family members that she shared her life with. She is survived by her parents; her sons, Byeren, Baereyen, and Bynette; and her brother, Jason (Heaven Butler, Mills, of Columbus. She was preceded in death by her nieces, Haven and Kadantz. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 22, at St. Louis Crossing Methodist Church. Pastor Tim Dillingham and Pastor Brad Douglas will officiate. He was the first of five siblings born on June 2, 1972, in Franklin, Indiana to parents Nicolas Eugene Whetstine and Jennifer Ann Whetstine (Wilborn). He was a graduate of Edinburgh Community High School. Jason fathered two children, his namesake, Jason L. Whetstine, Jr. (Veronica Hancock Lawson) and Jennifer Opal Ann Whetstine (Angela Thompson Fannin) who will miss him immensely. He enjoyed scavenging for morels and arrowheads, fishing, hunting and spending time with loved ones. Survivors include his father, children, granddaughter, Gaia Whetstine, siblings, Heath Whetstine (Pamela), Matthew Whetstine (Tonie), Nicole Fox (Phillip) and Sophia Morgan (Marty) and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, maternal grandparents, Elmer and Martha Wilborn and paternal grandparents, Charles Whetstine and Helen Richardson. Sarah Catharine Elliott Lee-Plough, 96, formerly of Connersville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, after a brief illness. She had recently moved to Northridge Gracious Retirement Living in Fishers, Indiana. Born January 13, 1927, she was the only surviving child of Henry Ray and Pauline Collins Kuqua Elliott. Sarah graduated from Connersville High School and Purdue University and retired from the Fayette County School Corporation, having taught 35 years in the English, Journalism, and Home Economics Departments. Sarah owned and managed the Willows Restaurant in Connersville for over 17 years. Sarah lived most of her life on the farm in Connersville and Jackson Townships of Fayette County on which her father was born. Sarah married John H. Lee April 4, 1948 and they had sons Thomas, David and Donald. She married Howard F. Plough June 29, 1989. Sarah was preceded in death by her brother Henry (died as an infant), her sister Dorothy Lou (died as infant), her parents (Ray - died 1968, Pauline - died 1971), her husband John H. Lee (died 1982), her husband Howard F. Plough (died 2018), and her son, Donald Ray Lee (died 2011). Sarah enjoyed serving on the Board of the Fayette County Public Library, and was an avid reader. She enjoyed being a lifelong member of the literary ADOU club, Tri Kappa philanthropic sorority, and for many years was a foods judge at county fairs and the Indiana State Fair. Sarah was an active lifelong member of the Connersville First United Methodist Church, where she had served as a Trustee, had helped lead the annual “Tasty Luncheon”, and had helped serve monthly Salvation Army dinners. Sarah is survived by her sons, Thomas, David and wife Carol; daughters-in-law Nancy Lee and Anne- Marie Ghattas-Lee; grandchildren Ryan Lee (Christy), Megan Pryor (Jeff), Scott Lee (Abbey), Carrie Cash (Jason), Cassie Romine (Sonny), Corey Lee (Alyse), Claire Lee (Deklin Veenhuizen), John Lee (Courtney) and Preston Lee; stepsons Brian and Mark Plough, and stepdaughter Jana Cramer. She had sixteen great-grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren, including her step granddaughter Tonia Saba. Sarah’s family is grateful for her friends from Connersville and Northridge Gracious Retirement Living who have been so attentive to her, especially in the last several years. Miller, 81, of Edinburgh, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. She was born September 1, 1941 in Edinburgh to the late Oscar and Mildred Stillabower Smith. She married Larry K. Miller on April 9, 1961 in Edinburgh, and he survives. She is also survived by her son Randy (Sherry) Miller, of Edinburgh; daughter Tellisa (Jeff) Skirvin, of Franklin; grandchildren, Sean (Bridgett) Barnett, of Columbus, Zachary Miller, of California, Samantha (Jacob) Baas, of Franklin, and Jacob Skirvin, of Franklin; and great grandchildren Amber, Lucas, and Liam. She was also preceded in death by her son, Rodney Miller; brothers, Harold Smith, Donald Smith, and Raymond Smith; and sisters, Janet L. Smith Wolfe Weisner, Marie Barr, Doris Maxine Smith, and Helen Hadley. Sharon was a beloved member of Christ Fellowship Church in Edinburgh. She was employed for 18 years at East Side Elementary School as a teaching assistant where she invested herself in helping countless children throughout the years. Sharon loved spending time with her family, gardening, and working in the yard with her husband Larry. She enjoyed sitting under the pine trees in her backyard drinking iced tea and watching the birds and the butterflies. She and Larry were faithful Lancer fans, attending many Edinburgh sporting events. She also took great joy in cultivating chrysalises for children to watch turn into monarch butterflies. To know her was to love her and she will be greatly missed by her family, church family, and extended community of friends. There will be no services at this time, but in lieu of flowers memorial gifts have been suggested to the American Heart Association. Peggy Ann Wagner, 82, of Edinburgh, passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 23, 2023, one day shy of her 83rd birthday. She was born April 24, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan. She married William R. Wagner on November 11, 1957, and he survives. She is also survived by her sons, Dennis (Terrie) Wagner, of Greenwood, and Bryan (Debbie) Wagner, of Greenwood; five grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. She was a quilter, a great cook and a wonderful baker of your choice of birthday cake. She loved playing cards, but most important to Peggy was her family and enjoying the grandbabies. A celebration of life visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Edinburgh Methodist Church.
